Home golf simulator installation
in the greater Salt Lake area.

Good Dog Golf helps homeowners in the greater Salt Lake area plan and install custom golf simulators. Start with the room you have, a renovation you are considering, or plans for a new home. We work through the layout, equipment, and simulator installation requirements with you.

Find out what your room can support.

A room can look spacious and still need careful planning for a golf swing. A basement, garage, spare room, or dedicated golf room should be assessed on its actual conditions rather than its name. Start with clear width, usable depth, and finished ceiling height, then note anything that reduces the available space.

  • Beams, soffits, sloped ceilings, columns, doors, and windows.
  • The proposed hitting position and the golfers who will use it.
  • Existing power, network connections, lighting, and equipment locations.
  • Space for seating, golf bags, computer access, and a clear route through the room.

Photos from the corners and any available plans are useful starting points. Our room-planning guide explains what to measure before the layout is finalized.

Choose the layout and technology together.

The launch monitor, screen, projector, computer, and software need to work with the room and the way you play. Right- and left-handed players, the hitting area, and the finished floor all matter. If you already own equipment, include its model details in your enquiry so the proposed setup can be reviewed.

A practical path from room to simulator.

Existing room

Review the dimensions and current setup, then identify what the simulator needs before equipment and finishes are selected.

Renovation

Coordinate simulator-related layout, finish, and equipment requirements with your builder and electrician as the room changes.

New construction

Plan the screen, hitting area, equipment positions, and power and low-voltage locations before the walls close up.

Your project team handles the agreed construction and electrical work. We complete the simulator installation and setup within the agreed scope.

Planning across the valley.

For an existing-home project in Draper, Sandy, Cottonwood Heights or Holladay, begin with the room’s current layout and what you want to keep. Tell us whether the simulator needs to share the space with seating, storage or another use, and whether any walls, ceilings or finishes will change.

For a new-build or renovation enquiry in nearby Utah Valley—such as Alpine, Highland or Lehi—share the current plan set and the stage of construction. Flag any simulator decisions that need to be settled before your builder or electrician proceeds. The room—not the city name—determines the layout and equipment requirements.

Include your city and project timing so we can discuss the location, scope and next steps. Planning in Park City or the Wasatch Back? Explore the dedicated home-simulator planning page.

Questions about your space.

Is there one minimum ceiling height for every simulator?

No. Clearance depends on the player, club, swing, hitting position, equipment, and finished room. We assess those factors together rather than promising that one dimension works for every household.
